About Moi

Hi there, I’m Leah. I like pretty much every color except for orange, I have never been waterskiing or tubing, I enjoy reading books, and I sing all the time in my house (sometimes on YouTube) I know how to play the flute, about 2 songs on the piano (they aren’t very good) and I play volleyball and softball. I spend too much time painting my nails and it usually comes off the next day. My favorite subjects are science and English and I write short stories for fun. I am outgoing, sarcastic, and easily entertained. I do believe there’s a prince charming somewhere out there and I love watching old corny movies, though I prefer action and adventure over romance. Overall, I am your typical teenage girl who talks when she shouldn’t and is silent too often. Peace, Love, Happiness is basically my motto.

Sometimes life gives you lemons and you just don’t have the right ingredients to make lemonade, but you can still make lemon zest! I really don’t know where I was going with that one, but I do have to say, it was a pretty creative quote on my part. I often misspell words on the computer and I mostly speak in proper grammar during the school day, and I correct people when they use words like “funner”; simply because they sound incredibly stupid when they say it.

I speak a lot of languages, but when I speak them I do so in a bad manner. I like talking in acronyms over IM and also when I speak (it’s one of the many things that interrupts my good grammar). I am currently in the process of “redoing” my style, as I find I am wanting a bit more color in my life rather than all black and gray. I find that when you dress yourself in dull colors, your personality reflects what you wear. I am not one for fashion, but I do want to look decent.

I am still a child at heart, despite what my friends may say. I love Disney and Nick, though I also like Dexter, the show where a serial killer kills other serial killers. Yeah… I’m basically a jumbled mess of a bunch of random things. Something that I don’t understand is love. Love has always been a foreign concept to me, as it’s a feeling that people have that makes them happy and sad. I’ve had trials and errors in the areas of love, and I know what you’re thinking: she’s only 16, she can’t really know what love is. And it may be true, but all I have to say about that is that if you limit yourself to an age for falling in love, you limit your chances of finding it at all. I’ve always been fascinated by love, or at least the concept of love, but I’m always questioning myself when it is brought up. Is it really true that it’s better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?

I am actually surprised that you made it to this last paragraph. I love to write, as you can see from above, and I made this “About Me” section much too long. So, some last things that I can cover about myself: I like sparkles, though most people don’t believe me, and I am awful at writing poetry. So, thank you again for reading this. I love you like I love sparkles. <3
